Louvre-Lens opened in December 2012 as an annex of Louvre Museum in Paris, and gets a great attention from all over the world. This museum is located in Lens, a small city north of France once flourished as a coal-mining town, and designed by SANAA, a unit of Japanese architects Kazuyo SEJIMA and Ryue NISHIZAWA. Designed by great architects, who are well known for awarding the Pritzker Architecture Prize [the Novel Prize of Architecture], its surroundings-fitting, beautiful and innovative architecture is getting massive attention. They are also famous for designing the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa in Japan, and a lot of other important architectures.
Having 12 sections for major wars from the beginning of the 19th century to our age, “THE DISASTERS OF WAR” shows how artists contributed to a growing disenchantment with war. Chimei HAMADA’s war-related copperplate prints are going to be exhibited.
They extend to ancient Greek arts, Oriental arts and a lot of sculptures. “Liberty Leading the People” by Delacroix is exhibited as a main attraction, and you could enjoy the permanent collection for free until the end of this year. He devoted himself to cultivation, playing music and making art works. He believes beauty of shape was resident in the line. By combining the geometrically defined lines, Hinterreiter strictly created a linear repertoire of 6,000 elementary forms. He integrated the basic forms and the number of the compositions rapidly increased into millions. Including the choice of colors, he carefully thought over the combination. Being opposite of the accidental one, His mathematical method of making art works affected the computer art in a later period.

Hans Hinterreiter

Venue: Kunst- und KulturZentrum Littau-Luzern, Switzerland
Term: January 13 [Fri.] to March 4 [Sun.] in 2012.

Official Website of Kunst- und KulturZentrum Littau-Luzern
http://www.kkz-littau.ch/index.htmlHIRO GALLERYhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13710545643814256167noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5854213979299682106.post-50975645782204506922011-10-07T12:07:00.004+09:002011-10-07T12:09:44.481+09:00[In Session] Yonekichi Tanaka - Universality -"Yonekichi Tanaka - Universality -" is being held from October 3rd [mon].

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 267px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvOzKIBqtOMppWZNRrOSvuI0Zg0fq_86GPwkvrmd9v3KA9BDKgnfj6wlj0iaBMomQhFIUrsqAaSfpEjBJVluULwLQ8TZULYtlEMKmL1CYe2KNbMTOpFpuRDioMX1xaFyXe15FCU32Nmd1m/s320/TanakaEx-1-t-h800.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5660581655526921378" />

Made of stainless steel polished into mirror, this work has a lot of holes in various sizes.
